Cocoa Del.icio.us Client
From Sci-Fi Hi-Fi:
Cocoa Del.icio.us Client:Good news reached my inbox yesterday: my employer has finally granted me permission to release that Cocoa app I alluded to a few months ago! Since it’s a freeware app, and since I have limited free time to work on it, I’ve decided that the best policy would be to release it early and do lots of little updates as I get free time, rather than holding out until it is more feature-complete. So, today I’m making an early version of my Cocoa Del.icio.us Client publicly available for download. [continued...]
Happy! I had been considering writing a similar app at some point. On the other hand, I have now switched to using Spurl instead so I might just focus on developing a Cocoa client for Spurl. Then again, I probably need to investigate Spurl some more in terms of API support. I really like the Spurl idea of being able to index the content of the bookmarked page which is really what I want in a bookmark manager. Maybe del.icio.us (or one of its extensions) is also capable of that but haven’t had that much time to look at it lately. Seeing a software like this released motivates me to push forward with my own investigations: I just need to find some time now!

I too had considered trying to index the contents of bookmarked pages. That might be something to add to the list of “long term” things to do.

That thought had crossed my mind. I’m going to be out all day today, but I’ll try to drop by the forums tomorrow…

I haven’t had much time lately to do anything related to either Spurl or del.icio.us. I will try to elaborate more on the ideas that I had for the app and see if/how it would be possible to use either/both services to implement these ideas.
Buzz: have you had time to look at the spurl.net forums? Did you see anything interesting there?
